Birthday Candlesingapore
Small joys of early March
I saw on the blogs of friends loads of spring: mimosa, apricot flowers (!), Almond trees, camellias, daffodils, euphorbia, wild flowers ... and home, the dominant color is brown burnt alive by the cold and the yellow grass ...
Despite the cold, I take you go around the garden ... we believe that everything is death, freezing, drought ... leaves stick, perennials are packed ground. No, no I do not show you ...
But in this desolate landscape, they are there, scattered, shy ... which are flashes of color, bold, the indestructible, the stubborn ...
The fragrant viburnum bloomed since November, with ups and downs, the snowdrops are the first to pierce the earth's crust, and viola advantage of the first ray of sun to open their buds they too are waiting since the beginning of winter to hatch. ¨
Crocuses botanicals follow the snowdrops and like them, they endure remarkably well the weight of snow in spring.
Finally, hellebores - the foetida, which comes live from the forest, planted by birds, the star Christmas with a big flower and a few inches of stem, and finally the promise of Helleborus Niger, which bloom at the time of daffodils ...
I confess, for the last, the primrose, I cheated ... I ordered from a horticulturist and came too soon. I stand in a large pot, with her sisters, and I returned every night so that his big corolla does not suffer too much. Her perfume smells the house in the morning!
Thus begins March ... Even today, I have not had the courage to get out the shears: too cold, nasty wind. Waiting the thaw to format, clean bedding primroses, pruning apple trees and roses ... Do not fall prey to impatience ... while learning!
