Sinoué Gilbert is a French writer born Cairo 18 February 1947.
After studying with the Jesuits, he comes to Paris to attend the Normal School of Music. He was then nineteen years old and knows only one person in the capital. Two other novels have helped his reputation as a wonderful storyteller: 'The Purple and olives or the Pope Callistus I forgot ', written in 1987 and won the Jean hours for best historical novel, and ' The Egyptian ', the first volume of a saga which describes an Egypt still poorly known, that the eighteenth and s, which won the literary prize of the Latin Quarter. Sinoué Gilbert is also a screenwriter and Dialogue. One of his novels, ' Days of Night has been an adaptation television in two parts, directed by Thierry Chabert, Stéphane Freiss, Claire Nebout and Caterina Murino in the lead roles. He also co-wrote a drama, 'The Tale of Three key', released in December 2007.
